My little horse is full of trouble today, just looking for something to get into. She tried chewing the fence, but I wiped some Cajun hot sauce on it. That's one way to get them to drink water! This crazy weather is the kind that makes a horse colic. I'm trying to keep them drinking and eating normally.

Sometimes a salt lick can give horses an alternative to chewing. Mine love salt, some licking the block and others chewing it quite aggressively.
I put salt bricks in their food buckets which they love. They're just bored by being stuck in the corral. I hate to think about the 10 years Silk spent day and night in a small box stall before I bought her. She only got turned out in a round pen for twenty minutes a few times a week.
