Pepper, We Will Always Love You

Our beloved dog, Pepper died yesterday. She was 14 years old. Her mother was a black lab, her father was a springer spaniel and Pepper was 100% Angel. Words cannot express how much we all miss her.

My heart wants to hug your heart. I have never found the right words to say in a time of loss. From the pictures I can see that Pepper was loved and lived a good life. I wish you the peace of knowing you loved as much as one can love and I have a feeling if Pepper could speak, we would hear the same sentiment.

Victoria...I'm so sorry about Pepper. It makes me think about all the dogs that we have had and lost. As sad as your family is now, I am sure having had her as part of your lives was well worth it. Unless you are a true dog person, it is difficult to understand the quality, peace, loyalty and love they can bring to your life. I know that you have worried about her for a long time. You did everything possible to give her a good life.

So, so sorry about Pepper. The greater the love, the greater the heartbreak. They come into our lives as a blessing, and when they are gone our grief is comforted by the warmth of their memories.

I am so sorry to hear about Pepper. She clearly had a long and well loved life. Dogs are truly members of the family and they leave a space in our hearts.

We got Sheba's ashes on Saturday, and now she sits on the mantle. She'll be joined by the others when we get our stuff and move back into our house.

Victoria, I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Pepper. She was beautiful. 14 years doesn't seem like a long time to us, but for a dog, that's a good, long time. She was obviously very much loved, and quite pleased with her life.
My most sincere sympathies to you and your family.

Victoria,
I'm so sorry to hear about Pepper. She was such a sweetheart and I know she loved you all as much as you loved her. My sympathies to you and your husband and daughter and mom. I know how much she will be missed and the grief you all must be feeling right now. Hope you get through this with the wonderful memories you have of the times shared with this wonderful family member who has left her lasting impression on your lives and hearts.

Please be comforted by the strength of your own compassion and tenacity in supporting Pepper through the final months of her wonderful life.
I am comforted to know that a dog as sweet as Pepper never knew neglect or cruelty by your hands and lived as long as she could have before going over the Rainbow Bridge.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Pepper!
Dogs bring so much joy into our lives. Words can't express how it feels to lose a wonderful companion. I lost 2 dogs at the same time over a year ago, it is the hardest thing to go through!
You are in my thoughts during this difficult time!

"The best place to bury a good dog is in it's owners heart."
One of my favorite quotes, but sadly only thought of in times like this. You will always miss her, but I hope you take comfort in knowing how much she was loved, and how much she loved you.
Pepper had a sweet life, people to love and trust, who loved her. Thats the very best we can do for our dogs.

What a gift she was to you -- and you to her.

I'm so very sorry. Fourteen years is a long time for a dog, but not nearly long enough. Grieve on. You will feel better because you did allow yourself to grieve.

So very sad to hear this news Victoria, as cliche as it sounds I truely believe that she is in a better place, free from pain and doggie worries.

Thinking of you and your family today.

I have two dogs that I love more than life itself. I can empathize with your loss. I've lost three and each time I say I want no more because the pain is too intense once they leave us. But, there I go, and get another one. They are beautiful, loyal creatures and you miss and cry for their unconditional love.
