Beautifully Uneventful

This is a rare early Saturday morning moment when the sun is finally shining, the other people and animals are still sleeping in the house and I am drinking coffee while the cat snoozes on my lap. After spending weeks with my husband recuperating from his accident, waiting anxiously in hospital waiting rooms while stressful procedures were being done, after frightening phone calls that my daughter’s school is once again on lockdown due to some cruel hoax played by a stupid, insensitive person,   after days of torrential rain that once again flooded our barn, this simple normal activity of drinking coffee, listening to the birds chirp, feeling the summer breeze through the open window is a thing of great beauty.

So, I will simply wish you all the same enjoyment of life’s precious uneventful but oh so happy moments – have a wonderful time doing nothing!

Big hugs and beautiful moments to you, good friend. The more days I live the more I realize that these precious moments are the most valuable thing in the world - we just have to remember to stop and celebrate them, as you have done! Thanks for a lovely reminder.

Hey Victoria...you are smelling the roses. What a year you have had. Hopefully your husband will be back to normal soon and if we are lucky it will stop raining so much and so often so your barn won't get flooded.
By the way, how is your arm?

I hope your peaceful moments are continuing now that summer is here. Maybe you are both sipping coffee on the deck in the morning while the girls graze?

It's been too long but after a couple days off from my own series of stressful issues, I enjoyed putting together a blog post, in case you have a moment for an easy read: http://www.oakintheseed.com/

Looking forward to hearing more about you and your family are doing!

I hope you are having more uneventful, lovely summer mornings and that everyone is healing. There is nothing better than "uneventful". I enjoy early mornings with coffee and my dogs.
