Meet Stella

We have a new member of our family - Stella, This is a photo taken after her very long ride up to New England from Tennessee. Her mama is a Welsh Springer Spaniel named Zoe and her papa is a Black Labrador Retriever named Rocky. They are both great dogs. And Stella is 100 % wonderful! You may remember that our beloved Pepper was the same mix only her mom was a black lab and her dad was a Springer. It took us two years to find another dog with that good combo. My daughter is going to train Stella to be a therapy dog and take her to children's hospitals and nursing homes. We can tell that she's got the personality for it. She loves everyone and is a snuggle expert even at this early age.

That's all for now, but you'll be hearing and seeing more of this little angel soon. She's full of joy and just what we needed.

Wow...has it really been two years since Pepper's been gone? Stella is gorgeous and I'm so happy you found her.

Yes. Hard to believe. Pepper left big paw prints to fill, but Stella has already made her way into our hearts in just a few hours. The only one around here who isn't sure is Velcro, our kitty. He's used to being king of the house. I know that the love dog will win him over eventually.

Can't believe you were able to find a repeat! She is gorgeous. Phoebe is a therapy dog and completed three years in a reading program. Also went to the Senior Center. The test was difficult, but she managed to pass it. Such a nice thing to do. Enjoy!

She's adorable! And I bet she's a bundle of energy. I can't wait to find out what Siete and Silk think of the new girl.

Congratulations!

Beautiful puppy, I love dogs that cuddle. Makes it hard to type though. :) Btw, I read your blog and check everyday so I don't miss anything. I enjoy how you are with the horses and the insights you have. Thank you for taking the time to share part of your life. Judy Beaver

I'm so happy you found Stella. Love the name by the way. She's adorable and looks so sweet. She will have big paw prints to follow in but I'm sure she's up to the task. Can't wait to meet her!

Stella is lovely. Nothing like having a new pup to liven things up - and she looks lively!

Nice to drop in - I haven't been here in a while.

SO cute! What a fun mix. How did you find another one of that mix, do people breed them? Last fall Ranch Boy and I got a Bichon Frise/Red Heeler mix and I love it! She is a great little size and a sturdy little dog with a fun personality. She was a pup at a farm store, a total "oops" breeding I'm sure. But part of me would love to have another one, LOL!
